A Leading source of news and resources from uk companies - Published each thursday at 10am
In order to celebrate its tenth anniversary, Business Report Limited the portal for business news online acted on reader feedback earlier and investing significant resources into a weekly portal that will deliver the latest news, industry features and exclusive interviews.
It will also use its network of contacts to develop an online resource sector that will provide users with easy to access information on latest legislation, research papers and reports on encouraging growth in business.
“A lot of newspapers and magazines have been forced to ‘go digital’ due to falling revenues and the transition hasn’t been as effective as many would have hoped,” explained Jason Pitt, who bought the title in 2002.
“We’ve taken a longer-term approach and been planning the move from paper to the web for the last six months, led primarily by a comprehensive survey that told us our readers wanted their news faster and instant.”
He went on to add: “Every Thursday at 10am we will upload the new digital edition to Business Report and this will be read by more than 8,000 subscribers, all of whom will be senior managers or Directors.”
“It will be full of the latest business news online from the region and across the rest of the UK, not to mention an extensive list of bloggers who will comment on breaking issues and offer expert analysis on every sector imaginable.”
Business Report was originally established more than 30 years ago by Birmingham journalist Andy Skinner before being bought out by the ‘AIM Listed’ 10 Group plc.
It was taken over in 2002 by Jason and his team and since then has grown from a small local business newspaper into one of the West Midlands’ most progressive publishers.
This growth has involved the launch of a new PR app called Pressvine that allows companies to create their own newsletter, manage social media accounts and distribute latest news to carefully researched media.
The latest digital expansion builds on these innovative strides forward and puts Business Report one step ahead of what is an extremely competitive marketplace in the online business news market.
“We’ve never been shy in taking exciting new steps forward and we believe a weekly online magazine offers the business community something different to what is currently out there,” commented Jason.
“It also sits perfectly with the ongoing success of our Made in the Midlands portal, which currently boasts about 250 member companies from across the region.
“This has proved an unbelievable platform for promoting industry across the UK and overseas and we’ve tried really hard to create a community that engages with others in sharing best practice, sales leads and inter-trading.
“We hope to reciprocate this with Business Report and will also be using social media to push this forward over the next couple of months.”
The launch of the digital version was launched earlier thins month and can be accessed by visiting www.businessreport.co.uk. You can also subscribe to an email bulletin that will give you exclusive access to business news online.
